This Buddhist temple was built in the Ayutthaya Historical era in 1424 by a Chinese merchant.

Located in the central Island area, Phra Nakhon, it is just a walking distance from the flower market and across from it is King Rama 1 monument.

King Rama 1 monument

It was restored during the reign of King Rama 1.

The most prominent architecture is a Khmer style Prang (tower). Its design reflects the mountain temple concept of Mount Meru. Its decorations are detailed stucco work. It is a such a sight to behold.

The prodigious tower

The temple is now a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
