There had been a new restaurant that had been opened not so far from where I lived. I knew I had to try it out since my newly discovered hobby is eating in cafés and restaurants. I asked a friend if we could go there for dinner and it did not take a lot of persuasion as she did not have any prior plans.
On the agreed time she picked me and we headed to our destination. The compound had some plants and flowers that seemed well taken care of. Immediately we walked inside, I realized that this was the place to be. It was warm and inviting. There were really nice light fixtures and the background music was relaxing.
Looking around other diners were happily enjoying their meals. We sat at a table by the window and a waitress came to us with the menus. She greeted us politely then left, giving us time to peruse through. It was mouthwatering. A few minutes later she came back to get our orders. We sat admiring the place as we waited.
Across our table, there was a family of four. The youngest child, about 4 years, was tagging at his mother’s hand asking for something. The mother shook her head in response. This annoyed him. He took a bowl from the table and emptied it on the floor. As he was about to get a glass, the mother took it. She tried holding the boy’s hand but he walked to his father. She got some serviettes to clean up the mess but a waiter was there already. You could tell she was grateful. Not too long after, they left.
Our food was served and we savored the delicious dishes. The desserts were on the house. We enjoyed the tasty treats and when it was time to leave I was stuffed. The ambience was relaxing and the service was accommodating and prompt.
