When it comes to sports, I consider myself passive. My lack of interest results in backwardness. I do not pretend to know because I am so clueless even in the most common like football.

While in high school, I participated in sports because it was mandatory. I did not enjoy it but since there was nowhere I would escape to I chose to be a moral supporter. I would do anything that needed to be done, as long as I was not in a sports court.

Recently I realized that sports can be worth looking forward to. Besides playing there can also be an event. In my current country of residence, schools have a sports week that culminates with a sports parade. It is such a glamorous affair that takes weeks to prepare for and make-up artists being on standby on the morning of the event.

Elementary students dress up in theme colors as per their teams. Preschoolers are also not left out. Their attires match their super heroes. With the little boys you will see spider man and iron man costumes while girls put on princess dresses.  If you have watched the movie Frozen, the young girls look so adorable in their light blue Elsa gowns with tiara crowns.

In the company of their teachers, they all march being led by a band for about 1 km. It is such a beautiful procession with lots of cameras at work from proud parents.

This is a sports related event where no tracksuits are needed. Regardless of the hustle in preparation, it is so much fun. I can proudly say that I do enjoy the parade.
